Wow. Truly wow.

This group started two days ago, and we already have 300+ people here who are like-minded and actively looking for ways to help their community. That is incredibly powerful.

Yesterday, La Viña Burnsville shared that they were able to get food to 1,176 families who can’t leave their homes. Thank you to everyone who showed up, donated, packed, delivered, shared posts, or helped make that happen. They are continuing this work, and the need will remain as time goes on.

I also saw several of you sharing other trusted needs and opportunities, and I’m so grateful for that. This is exactly what I hope this space can be: a place to share trusted ways to help, so others can find opportunities that fit best for them and organize together.

If you’re looking for specific help and don’t feel comfortable posting publicly, please feel free to DM me. I’m happy to post on your behalf, help organize, or try to connect you with the support you’re looking for.

If you know like-minded friends who care about community, dignity, and keeping people safe, please invite them to join. The more people we have who share these values, the more powerful we can be in showing up for our community.

This is a horrific time in many ways. But seeing how our community here in Dakota County and across Minnesota is showing up for one another makes me incredibly proud to be part of it.
