Hello everyone! Very exciting news! We were just able to secure MAJOR rental assistance funding for families in Dakota County through the Wilson Foundation. Their support is going to make a huge difference for immigrant families in our community who are struggling to stay housed and recover from everything they’ve been going through.

We now have an application system set up, and we’re looking for volunteers who would be comfortable going to apartment complexes or other communities and helping families fill out applications in person. I would train you on exactly what information is needed and walk you through the process.

Being bilingual is definitely helpful, but not required. I don’t speak Spanish myself and have been able to communicate a lot through translation tools on my phone, so please don’t let that stop you from reaching out if you want to help.

We’re especially looking for people who are compassionate, patient, organized, and comfortable talking with families one-on-one.
