-------FACEBOOK REQUEST FOR HELP APRIL 6, 2026------------------------

We are doing a last minute food and essentials drop for 50 families in a Burnsville apartment complex tomorrow.

We knew we would be receiving some food boxes to deliver there, but weren’t sure exactly what would be included, and it turns out they are a bit limited. We’re hoping to help fill in some of the gaps so families have what they really need.

The contact there who helps get food to the most in-need community members, predominantly immigrant families who are really struggling right now, sent me a list of the most needed items. I ran to the store and used some funds from prior mutual aid donations (this is not cutting into any donations for the family we are helping on Wednesday) and was able to grab quite a bit, but there are still some key items we’re short on.

Each family will already be receiving shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, and a bar of soap as that is what I have picked up so far.

Most needed right now:

Toilet paper
Cooking oil
Cleaning supplies

Also helpful if possible:

Meat
Fresh produce (especially easy items like bananas)

Diapers are also a big need:

Sizes 4 and 6 (highest need)
Sizes 2 and 7
A few newborn (size 1)

If you’d like to help, you can:

Send a Venmo to @@@@@@ for “mutual aid apartment complex” and I’ll make sure those funds go directly toward these items
Shop for a few things and drop off at my house tonight so I can gather everything together
If you’re local, I can also swing by and pick items up this evening

I know this is very last minute and I always try to give more notice, but this came together really quickly and I wanted to reach out in case anyone is able to jump in and help.
