Bad Start to the Community's Morning

This morning has started off very hard for a lot of people in our community. There was an ICE detention in the south metro today, and it has brought up a lot of fear and anxiety for many families. People who were just beginning to feel safe enough to return to normal activities and leave their homes are now feeling deeply afraid again.

Because of this, many families are staying home and are in need of food support. Many Latino volunteers are also not feeling comfortable coming in to help at La Viña today because of safety concerns. If you are able to volunteer at La Viña today to help with food packing, distribution, or deliveries, it would be very deeply appreciated.

Volunteers are needed from noon to 7 PM for packing, distribution, and deliveries. Delivery drivers are especially needed as well. There is no need to sign up ahead of time. If you come, they will be able to put you to work right away.
